Adding Comments to Line Items in Purchasing

If you need to include additional information on a line-by-line basis in Purchasing and Receiving, you can use Line comments. Each line of a receiver can have up to 3 comments associated with it. These comments are printed on purchasing documents.To add line comments to a purchasing document, such as a Purchase Request or Receiving:

  1. On the Lines tab, enter or select the line, so that it is highlighted with an arrow to the left of the row.


  1. If you are using the simplified toolbar click the and choose Line delivery & comments for Purchase Requests or Comments for Receivings from the drop-down





OR
If you are using the Default toolbar, select Line → Other Info for Purchase Requests or Comments for Receivings from the drop-down

  1. Enter Comments
  2. Select any other lines that need comments and complete the purchasing process
